ROBOTICS & LOGISTICS
Fast-charging batteries for autonomous logistics – including at −30°C
Warehouse robots run on uptime. XNO® keeps them running — including in operating conditions where conventional battery chemistries fall significantly short.
THE CHALLENGE
Warehouse robots
cannot afford to stop
Automated warehouses and logistics operations cannot afford downtime. Every minute a robot spends charging rather than operating is a direct productivity loss — and at fleet scale, charging downtime can require significantly more robots to meet the same throughput target. The battery is not peripheral to the economics of automation: it is central.
LFP and lead-acid batteries require extended charging windows, degrade under sustained high-cycle duty, and cannot charge reliably at low temperatures. In frozen and cold-chain environments this becomes a hard operational constraint: charging performance below 0°C deteriorates significantly.
WHY XNO®
Two high-value AGV applications
1.
Cold-chain warehouse robotics
XNO® charges at full rated capacity down to −30°C without impact on cycle life or safety — enabling continuous operation in frozen environments without warm-up zones or extended charging windows. An XNO®-based AGV pack in a frozen warehouse is also significantly smaller than alternatives for the same duty cycle, because XNO®'s fast charge rate allows the battery to top up rapidly at every operational pause.
2.
Intralogistics AMRs – opportunity charging
In ambient-temperature operations, XNO®'s fast charge rate enables opportunity charging at every operational pause — at pick stations, during loading, at interchange points. The battery can be dramatically smaller than LFP alternatives, with a fraction of the charging infrastructure required. Cycle life of >50,000 cycles means the battery outlasts the vehicle under sustained AGV duty.
PERFORMANCE
The numbers that matter
